The usual kraft paper card stock and regular 8.5 x 11 stuff.

Some Unfinished works of the recent past . . .

The gray piece is older with new embellishments.  the other three are new ink on paper with some color pencil.  "New" meaning mid-September.  The pile of paper on the right are mostly unfinished stuff throught the past 4-5 years.
It is like building up and building up and sometimes finding the mosaic that can stand alone!

My Art Work Space

First off, I'd like to mention that this post is in honor of my pal, Hal Weaver who says he likes to see other artist work space!
This is a corner of the living room of my decent sized apartment.  I try to spend about an hour here right after working 10+ hours.  With a beer and some cool music.
I've had the box with the colorpencils for 20 years.

Comments Welcome.

That's our fat cat, Kelly.  She is very sweet. And Lazy!

Old Large Abstract Painting . . .

(c)1983 G. Tarjan

. . . that didn't turn out that good.
Sure, I spent hours and hours in class working in this, using painting knives and spray paint and even listening to a walkman so loud that the Teacher "scolded" me about it.

Yes it is approx. 68" x 55.5" oil and spray enamel on stretched canvas.  I'm sure that in the end, I left it in the old painting classroom at stony Brook  No real loss.

My old friend took the b&w photo of me in front of it.

My Mini-Comic for Mini-Comics Day

So I did a mini-comic for Mini-Comics Day, which was yesterday 9 April 2011!  Here is a short video with me talking about it.  It was more an experiment in design and a fun way to do some abstract drawing.  The title is "Captcha" which is a nickname for when you have to type in the letters you see in an image. It is used for extra security so as to avoid spamming comments etc.  This Blog host (blogger) uses it and they have "Captcha's" that are Almost words. When ever I made a comment to someone's post I wrote down the "captcha" that I had to type.
So this is a collection of my favorite 7.

Click HERE for the Facebook place for Mini-Comics Day and check out many other people's new mini-comics!!

Click THIS for my much more fun expanded version of my mini-comic "CAPTCHA"  in-process Video!!

And the most important is this LINK to my facebook photo album of each page (in black and white)!!!
I did this because it is easy to "flip" through.

2006 Studio

Some pics of my Studio in Bainbridge NY in 2nd Floor of a barn. Still have some remnant artwork there. (Been trying to sell the property for $70,000 for the past 3+ years)

Feel free to ask questions... Not all the art is mine (most is) the upper center in bottom pic is by William Randazzo, That painting is here in Richmond now.
