Rudimentary Skull cutouts 2

I worked at a Plastic ThermoForming  company on and off in upstate NY for a few years and the second best take-away from there was a bunch of these 1/4" high plates, 1/8th" thick black cut-outs, in the basic shape of a skull.

I scarfed up a very small load of them then.

I painted white acrylic on them back in 2005 or 2006.
I still have them and here is the 2nd of them.  This the "outside of the plate painting"
Not showing the "haircell" texture.  and more prone to scratches through the years.

It is  Pencil on off-yellow paper Standard size paper (8.5 x 11)

Today I will post many things in order to catch up on my Daily posting... I've been working A LOT and haven't been in the mood to post after an 11 hr day.

A Favorite

Acrylic and prismacolor pencil on watercolor paper 9 x 12 -- I did this back in 2005 and it has been an inspiration to me since.
When I create an abstract painting I make an effort not to make it look like anything. Everyone will see something in it. Like a large but busy pattern on a floor or wall and when you stare at it you make images appear. Your mind wants to always see something it can make sense out of.
